Left out areas in Thanjavur to get UGD system

THANJAVUR: The Municipality has decided to implement the extension of UGD system in those areas which were left out in Thanjavur town through the Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board.

A resolution to this effect was adopted at the emergency meeting of the Municipality on Tuesday. The work would cost Rs.223.52 lakh. Already the Municipality has to pay the TWAD a sum of Rs.785.52 lakh for the completion of the work. In total, the Municipality has decided to borrow Rs.10 crore as bridge loan from TNUFISL. Thenmozhi Jayabal, Chairperson of Thanjavur Municipality, presided over the meet.
