KPCL Director visits BHEL

TIRUCHI: Muralidhar Rao, Director – Technical, Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL), visited the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Tiruchi unit, recently to inspect the status of the 500 MW project meant for Bellary and 250 MW unit for Raichur at a total cost of Rs.2,500 crore. Accompanied by V.S. Kulkarni, Chief Engineer – Transmission and Distribution, Mr Rao reviewed the project status with respect to supply of materials, and expressed satisfaction over the progress of the projects as per schedule. Under the order valued at about Rs.2,900 crore, BHEL would the supply and instal the Main Plant Package. BHEL has already supplied and commissioned seven 210 MW units in Raichur and Karnataka’s first 500 MW unit in Bellary.
