Incentive to be given for identifying beneficiaries

NAGAPATTINAM: Village Health Nurses, voluntary organisations and public would be given an incentive of Rs.1,000 for identification of up to 50 beneficiaries within a three-month period under the Kalaignar's Health Insurance Scheme. This was stated by A. Annadurai, Collector-in-charge, at the review meet of the Kalaignar's Health Insurance Scheme here recently.

Reviewing the performance of the scheme, Mr. Annadurai stated that a great degree of awareness among beneficiaries was required.

Special camps should be conducted at all primary health centres, government and identified private hospitals here for beneficiary identification, he said. Over four private hospitals are identified under the Kalaignar's Health Insurance Scheme in the district.

Over 1,049 beneficiaries have availed treatment under the Kalaignar's Health Insurance Scheme to the tune of Rs.2.88 crore.
