‘All children in the country should have access to same quality of education’

COIMBATORE: Private schools in the State should implement activity-based learning, Union Home Minister P. Chidabaram said here on Friday.

Speaking at a function for formal dedication of Yuva Bharathi Public School infrastructure facilities, he said that the activity-based learning programme was innovative.

It was implemented in all the Government schools in the State now. The private schools should also adopt this system.

The Minister also urged the State Government to implement equitable standard school education from the next academic year. It would be possible to eradicate social inequalities by providing equitable standard education.

All the children in the country should have access to the same quality of education, he said.

He appealed to the school officials to implement innovative concepts.

Minister for Rural Industries and Animal Husbandry Pongalur N. Palanisamy, said the Chief Minister was taking several steps to develop the skills of students.

This included equitable standard school education and activity-based learning.
