IOB plans representative office

COIMBATORE: Indian Overseas Bank plans to open a representative office in Vietnam.

According to its chairman and managing director T.S. Narayanasami, the office will be upgraded to a branch in about two years.

The bank has representative offices in China and Malaysia.

It also plans to open a branch in New Zealand.

The bank has core banking in 400 branches and is trying to expedite the process.
