Book exhibition on Periyar Maniammai University campus

THANJAVUR: Books are man’s best companions. While this is said about general books, text books no doubt are the guides of University students. But getting them sometimes becomes a herculean task.

To provide the students an opportunity to purchase books under one roof, Periyar Maniammai University Library here has organised a three-day book exhibition at the University campus. Sami Sivagnanam, Administrative Officer of Saraswathi Mahal Library, inaugurated the exhibition.

N. Ramachandran, Vice-Chancellor of the University, presided over the function. Book publishers and traders like Tiruchi (Medical) Book House, Sak-Sans Book Publishers, TBH-Library Book suppliers and Pai and Sons from Coimbatore, have displayed books.

Besides engineering, , management and self development books, those on various leaders and scientists are displayed in the fair.

Perumal, Curator of Saraswathi Mahal Library, R. Kandaswamy, Dean (Academic), offered felicitations.

About 1,800 books on management are on display. Books on the life history of Graham Bell, Pervez Musharraf, Tipu Sultan, Mao Tse-Tung, Bill Gates and Henry Ford are available in the fair.
