THANJAVUR: District Collector M. S. Shanmugham inaugurated the photo exhibition organised in connection with the ‘Humanism week’ celebrations organised by the Adhidravida Welfare Department on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Shanmugham regretted that humanism is coming down in the whole world. Joint family system has crumbled and people live as individuals treating others as aliens from another planet. He appealed to the students to sink the differences on the basis of caste, creed, colour or religion and live with humanism. District Adi Dravidar welfare officer P. Ramar, District Backward Class Welfare Officer Sri Malini, and Thyagaraja Rao, Manager, TAHDCO, participated in the function.
