Health Minister to inaugurate symposium

CHENNAI: An international symposium on ‘global trends in biomedical informatics research, education and commercialisation,’ will be held here on January 11 and 12.

It aims at bringing together industries, practitioners, researchers and academics in medical, health care, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, bioinformatics, biomedical equipment, and information technology for creating synergy and supporting interdisciplinary research, development and commercialisation, according to a press release.

Being jointly organised by Sai’s Biosciences Research Institute Pvt.Ltd., the Department of Health Informatics, the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, the School of Health-related Professions, New Jersey, the Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Medical Computer Society of India, the symposium will be inaugurated by Health Minister M.R.K. Panneerselvam.
