Handicrafts exhibition begins

SALEM: Exquisite pieces of handicrafts are on display at `Kalanjali,’ a craft festival of the Uttar Pradesh Handicrafts, Handloom, Artisans’ Association, that began at the Deiveegam Tirumana Mandapam here on Friday.

Artisans from Uttar Pradesh are taking part in this exhibition-cum-sale which will conclude on December 31. The artistic pieces include handicrafts goods made of teak wood, Moradabad brass sculptures, bangles from Jaipur, silk paintings, brass and iron crafts, white metal pieces, terracotta, Kalakari and Kalahasthi wall paintings, handloom cotton materials, textiles, Hyderabad pearl works, wood works etc.

Rajasthan musical sets, glass wares and Sharampur wood crafts are also on display.
