ERODE: The State Transport Authority, Chennai, has called for applications from owners of goods carriages to ply the vehicles in

Karnataka. A release from the Authority says there are 410 vacancies, which have arisen because of non-renewal and surrender of counter-signature of Tamil Nadu-based goods carriages.

In keeping the vacancies, the Authority has decided to issue 410 fresh recommendation letters for issue of counter-signature of permits to ply in Karnataka.


Those interested in obtaining the signature of permits may apply to the Secretary, State Transport Authority, Ezhilagam, Chepauk, Chennai 600 005 in the prescribed form with fee.

The vacancies will be filled strictly on the first-come, first-serve basis.
