Fill vacancies in Revenue Department

Says Tamil Nadu State Revenue Officials Association

THANJAVUR: The Tamil Nadu State Revenue Officials Association has appealed to the State Government to fill up the vacancies in the Revenue Department to implement the welfare schemes of the Government without any hitch or delay.


A resolution to this effect was adopted at the State office bearers meeting of the association held here on Monday. N.Thambiraja, State president presided over the meeting and S. Sivagnanam, State general secretary participated.

The resolution said that more than 50 per cent vacancies existed in the department.

Welfare schemes

Revenue Department officials are involved in implementation of welfare schemes of the Government, take up disaster management works and also works on special occasions like World classical Tamil conference etc.

The association also demanded creation of separate offices with special tahsildars for implementation of Kalaignar's Insurance Scheme for Life Saving Treatment and Kalaignar Concrete House Schemes.


Computerisation should be done in all tahildar and revenue divisional offices and computer operators should be appointed.
