DMK, Congress cadres celebrate their victory

TIRUPATTUR: Cadres of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and its allies on Saturday burst crackers and distributed sweets to mark the victory of DMK candidate T. Venugopal, who won from Tiruvannamalai parliamentary constituency and Indian Union Muslim League candidate M. Abdul Raghman, who won contesting on the DMK symbol.

At Pernambut Assembly constituency, cadres of the DMK and its allies burst crackers outside Pernambut Bus Stand.

At Vaniyambadi, Natrampalli and Alangayam coming under the same parliamentary constituency, the cadres distributed sweets to the public .

They burst crackers on CAN Road in the presence of Vaniyambadi Municipality Chairman V. Sivaji Ganesan.

Similarly, at Checkkumedu coming under the Alangayam panchayat union, the cadres burst crackers in the presence of panchayat union chairman K. Devaraji.

The cadres, along with Natrampalli MLA N.K.R. Suriya Kumar, celebrated the victory of Mr. Raghman.

At Ambur, DMK town secretary M.R. Arumugam and his supporters garlanded the statue of C.N. Annadurai inside Ambur Bus Stand and burst crackers.

The Congress supporters headed by Ambur Town Congress Committee president E. Suresh Babu garlanded the statue of Rajiv Gandhi on bypass road and distributed sweets.

At Tirupattur and Jolarpet coming under Tiruvannamalai parliamentary constituency, the cadres of the DMK and its allies garlanded the statue of Annadurai on Krishnagiri Main Road.

They also praised Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi for the victory. Cadres were jubilant at Chengam Assembly segment coming under the same constituency.
