Officials told to keep government hospital premises neat

ERODE: The Public Accounts Committee of Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly inspected various development works in different parts of the district on Wednesday.

The committee members, led by their chairman Shivaraj, visited the Erode bus stand and the government hospital. They reviewed the progress of the construction of a parking area for mini buses and public convenience facilities in the bus stand.

Later, they inspected the scanning section and various wards in the government hospital and asked the officials to keep the hospital premises neat and tidy.

Hostel

The members also visited the hostel for students belonging to scheduled caste and scheduled tribe communities in the town.

The committee also inspected the garbage dump of the Erode Corporation and the development works being carried out by the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board in Vendipalayam village.

Collector R. Sudalaikannan, Mayor Kumar Murugesh, District Rural Development Agency project Officer Seenivasan and senior officials accompanied the committee members.
