9.99 lakh voters in Perambalur

PERAMBALUR, FEB. 26 . A total of 9.99 lakh voters, including 5.19 lakh women voters, of the Perambalur (reserved) seat, can exercise their franchise in the forthcoming election.

As many as 984 polling booths will be set up in the constituency, the Collector, S. Natarajan, said in a press release issued here today.

The following is the Assembly constituency-wise strength of the elecotrate in the Lok Sabha seat: Uppliapuram (reserved) — 1,81,737 voters (88,251 men and 93,486 women); Perambalur (reserved) — 1,84,465 (87,739 men and 96,726 women); Varahur (reserved) — 1,63,555 (77,187 men and 86,358 women); Ariyalur — 1,59,820 (76,732 men and 83,088 women); Andimadam — 1,43,771 (68,785 men and 74,986 women); Jayamkondam — 1,65,811 voters (80,839 men and 84,972 women).

Thanjavur

According to the Collector, S. Kosalaraman, there are 8,51,500 voters in Thanjavur district and 8,87,658 women voters.

A total of 8760 new voters have been enrolled.
