17 schools register cent p.c. results

THENI: The pass percentage in SSLC and matric examinations 2005 in the district was 90.7 per cent, 5.6 per cent higher than the previous year's pass percentage, according to P. Chellam, Chief Educational Officer.

Talking to media persons here on Saturday, she said 12,044 students — 6,540 boys and 5,504 girls — appeared for the examinations this year and 10,933 students — 5,782 boys and 5,151 girls — passed. Of the 118 schools, 17 achieved cent per cent results.
