14 candidates file nominations in Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri

KRISHNAGIRI: Fourteen people filed their nomination papers on Thursday from Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri Parliamentary constituencies.

In Krishnagiri, V.V. Murthy (31) filed his nomination papers with the District Election Officer V.K. Shanmugam. He is contesting as a Bahujan Samaj Party candidate and has total assets worth Rs. 8,35,000.

C. Murali (28) filed his nomination papers as an alternate candidate for Bahujan Samaj Party.

M. Selvaraj (58) filed his nomination as Kongu Nadu Munnetra Peravai candidate. He has assets worth Rs. 25,54,270.45.

V.S. Chandran ( 48) filed nomination papers as Kongu Ilaignar Peravai candidate.

R. Joseph (73) filed nomination papers as Makkal Jananayaka Katchi candidate. He has assets worth Rs. 43 lakhs.

S. Ramadevan (47), M.M. Prakasam (29), M. Murugesan (38) filed their nomination papers as independent candidates.

Two additional nomination papers were filed on behalf of G. Balakrishnan.

In Dharmapuri, six candidates filed nomination papers with the District Election Officer P. Amutha.

C. Asokan (36) filed nomination papers as Kongu Nadu Munnetra Peravai candidate. P. Venkatachalam (54) filed his papers as an alternate candidate for Kongu Nadu Munnetra Peravai.

D. Gunasekaran ( 38) from Makkal Maanadu; R. Prabhakaran (36), K.G. Kaveri Verma (43), A. Raja (47) filed their nomination papers as independent candidates.

It is expected that the ruling DMK candidates E.G. Sugavanam and R. Thamaraiselvan would file their nominations on Friday, the last day for filing the nominations.
