Nagercoil: The `Campaign against child trafficking,' a ten-day puppetry yatra, which started at Nagapattinam, culminated at Kanyakumari on Friday. It was aimed at creating awareness among the public and preventing child trafficking. The organisers conducted programmes at three places, including Kesavanputhuenthurai, Kanyakumari and Sionpuram near Pallam.

The national convener of the campaign, Nambi, said that awareness programmes were conducted at four districts for 10 days.

Mr. Nambi wanted the Government to set up a committee, which included representatives of local bodies, public and NGOs to prevent child trafficking.
