Polluted drinking water problem

JAIPUR: Rajasthan Public Health Engineering Minister Sanwarlal Jat has announced appointment of a team of engineers to look into complaints of polluted water being supplied through pipelines and leakage of sewage lines in the Walled City in Jaipur.

Mr. Jat, presiding over a meeting of MLAs from Jaipur division in the State Assembly premises on Friday, said the team would submit its report within the next fortnight. The Public Health Engineering Department will devise a strategy to solve the problem after studying the report.

He said the requirements of the next 20 years would be kept in view while formulating new drinking water schemes.
