IPS officers transferred

CHANDIGARH: In the third major administrative reshuffle in a week, the Punjab Government on Monday transferred eight Indian Police Service officers, including four of Deputy Inspector-General (DIG) rank, in the State with immediate effect.

IGP-Crime G.D. Pandey has been transferred as Additional Director-General of Police (Crime).

DIG (Community Policing) Sanjeev Kumar Kaira becomes IGP (Traffic) against a vacant post.

DG (Ludhiana Range) Parag Jain goes as IGP (Security). DIG (Patiala Range) H.S. Randhawa becomes IGP (Intelligence-II) against the post of ADGP (Railways), Patiala.

Varinder Kumar, awaiting a posting, goes as DIG (Intelligence-I) in place of J.S. Pannu. Ishwar Singh, awaiting a posting, becomes DIG (Ludhiana Range).

Commandant 75th Battalion Punjab Armed Police (Jalandhar) J.K. Jain becomes DIG (Indian Reserve Battalion) against a vacant post. DIG (Intelligence-I) K.J.S. Pannu goes as DIG (Patiala Range), Patiala, in place of H. S. Randhawa. - PTI
