They demand regularisation of their jobs. Around 33 temporary employees of the CDMO office had started dharna and agitation in front of the office of the CDMO 31 days ago. Later the different employees’ associations of the city had also expressed their solidarity with the demand of these employees.

Most of the agitating temporary employees of the CDMO office were Inferior Field Workers (IFW) used in the malaria eradication programme. All of them have served for more than 18 years on daily wages.

On Wednesday Mr Sahu called upon leaders of the agitating employees for discussion.

This meeting was also attended by the CDMO, Rasbehari Gochhayat, Additional District Mediacal Officer (ADMO), Madan Mohan Deo and leader of KSS, Rabinarayan Suchar.

The RDC promised to take up the matter with higher-ups in the health department.
