PUDUCHERRY: A talk on stress management in higher education was organised by the Department of Economics, Kanchi Mamunivar Centre for Post Graduate Studies on Tuesday.

Chief Medical Officer of Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) M.K. Shrivastava spoke on the topic on the occasion. He listed out the types of stress and causes and said there are physical, genetic and social organisational stressors, according to a press release. Inability to concentrate, undue tiredness and irritability were indicators of stress, he said. Director of the centre, N. Gururajan, Associate Professor and Head of Economics S. Varalakshmi and Organising Secretary Pramod Kumar were present.
