Rangasamy administers national integration pledge

PUDUCHERRY: Chief Minister N.Rangasamy offered floral tributes to the statue of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and administered National Integration Pledge to Ministers, legislators and leaders on the occasion of her birth anniversary on Monday.

At a function held by the Information and Publicity Department, Mr. Rangasamy garlanded the statue of Indira Gandhi on the Puducherry-Villupuram highway. Speaker R.Radhakrishnan, Health Minister E.Valsaraj and Tourism Minister Malladi Krishna Rao also offered floral tributes. Mr.Rangasamy participated in a function held at the Pradesh Congress Committee office to mark the birth anniversary of Indira Gandhi. He unfurled the Congress flag at the party office and took salute at the parade of the Seva Dal volunteers. Congress functionaries, leaders of the Indian Trade Union Congress and representatives of the local bodies were present on the occasion.

The Puducherry Munnetra Congress organised the birth anniversary celebrations at the party headquarters. Vice-president of the party K.Lakshminarayanan and other functionaries offered floral tributes to the portrait of Indira Gandhi.
