Nine security personnel injured

Jammu: Nine security personnel, including four CRPF jawans and five policemen, were injured in separate road mishaps, a police spokesman said on Saturday.

The CRPF personnel suffered injuries when their escort vehicle hit a truck at Naugam in Banihal tehsil of Ramban district, he said. Following the mishap, they were rushed to Srinagar and were admitted in Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences for treatment, the spokesman said. A case was registered in this connection at Banihal police station. In another accident, five police personnel were injured when their vehicle rolled down at Tikri in Udhampur district last evening.
