New development plan for Alwar

Special Correspondent

JAIPUR: The Congress-led Government in Rajasthan has decided to formulate an action plan for development of Alwar district under the National Capital Region (NCR) project with the cooperation of elected representatives.

Newly inducted Medical and Health Minister Aimaduddin Ahmed Khan has said in Alwar that the action plan would be implemented on the basis of “collective decisions”.

The State Government would accord the highest priority to the welfare of small and marginal farmers, labourers, women and the poor, he added.

Mr. Khan said elected representatives would be encouraged to identify the local problems and refer them to the State Government for their solution. “Money will not be a constraint for the Government’s development initiatives.”

The Minister said the farmers, having an important role in the State’s development, would get all facilities and support. While the Centre had already taken a major decision for waiver of farmers’ loans, the State Government would ensure that they get reasonable prices for their produce, he added.
