DMK for immediate talks with protesting ministerial staff

PUDUCHERRY: The Puducherry unit of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has urged the government to take immediate steps to look into the demands of ministerial staff.

DMK State convener R.V. Janakiraman, in a release, said the ministerial staff had been staging protests for 14 days.

Work in government departments hit

As a result, work in various government departments were affected. Revenue generating departments such as Commercial Taxes, Excise, Transport and Revenue were also affected.

Mr. Janakiraman urged the government to hold talks with the ministerial staff and solve their problems immediately.


He insisted that the government regularly review the measures undertaken by the department-wise committees constituted to look into the problems of employees.
