Bajrang Dal comes up with dress code for girls

BHOPAL: The culture cops have come up with a new code for the temple-going girls of Bhopal.

According to the latest diktat issued by the Bajrang Dal, the youth wing of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, girls wearing jeans and other western wear will not be allowed into the city temples.

The activists stood guarding temples on Wednesday, preventing girls wearing jeans and other western wear from entering.

The move has evoked strong negative response from the women who questioned the Dal's right to issue moral diktats like this one.

Force not ruled out

“Right now we are watching over the temples of Bhopal and we will use force in the coming days if the need be,” said an activist.
