Trains cancelled, rescheduled

NEW DELHI: Due to the high level of impact of the strike call given by the Left parties in West Bengal, the Northern Railway on Thursday announced cancellation of nine trains as their corresponding services from the other end were cancelled.

The trains which have been cancelled are the 2382 Poorva Express, 3008 Toofan Express, 3152 Sealdah Express, 2314 New Delhi-Sealdah Rajdhani, 3134 Varanasi-Sealdah Express, 3006 Amritsar-Howrah Mail, 2313 Kalka Mail, 3028 Varanasi-Howrah Vibhuti Express, and the 3010 Dehradun-Howrah Doon Express.

The Northern Railway also rescheduled the 2301 Howrah-New Delhi Rajdhani Express, which was to have left Howrah at 4-15 p.m., to leave at 9 p.m. on Thursday.

The Eastern Railway would run one Howrah-New Delhi special train with seven second sleeper class, one first class and four general second class coaches and this train would leave Howrah at 11-45 p.m. on Thursday. And on October 2, NR will run one New Delhi-Howrah special train with this incoming rake and the train will run on the timings, path and stoppage of 3008 Toofan Express.
