Rajasthan sets up NGO Cell

JAIPUR MARCH 29. The Rajasthan Government has established a Non- Government Organisation (NGO) Cell to promote the role of NGOs and voluntary organisations in various development activities and institutionalise the process of dialogue between the Government machinery and these organisations.

The NGO Cell will coordinate the activities of the State Government, its various departments and NGOs and voluntary organisations, besides providing a forum to all of them for a meaningful dialogue while taking policy decisions.

A 17-member State-level Standing Committee, headed by the Additional Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner, O.P. Behari, will look after the functioning of the cell.
