NEW DELHINEW DELHINEW DELHINEW DELHINEW, MARCH 11.MARCH 11.MA A clear sky is expected to greet the Capital this Saturday morning, with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to stay around 27 and 14 degrees Celsius.

While Safdarjung recorded a maximum and minimum temperature of 25.5 and 15.0 degrees Celsius, at Palam it was 25.8 and 14.8 degree Celsius. The maximum humidity was 91 per cent at Safdarjung and 98 per cent in Palam, while the minimum was 46 and 45 per cent respectively.

Post-mortem conducted

NEW DELHINEW DELHINEW DELHINEW DELHINEW, MARCH 11.MARCH 11.MA The post-mortem on the bodies of the alleged militants, who were gunned down in an encounter with the Special Cell of the Delhi police at Uttam Nagar in West Delhi this past week, was conducted at Safdarjung Hospital today.

The police said after the post-mortem the bodies have been preserved. Stating that two of the slain militants were Pakistani nationals, they said they were awaiting a response from the Pakistan High Commission in this regard.

Alleged suicide by patient

NEW DELHINEW DELHINEW DELHINEW DELHINEW, MARCH 11.MARCH 11.MA A patient in his twenties allegedly committed suicide at the Aruna Asaf Ali Hospital premises in North Delhi today. The incident came to light in the afternoon when the patient was found hanging from the water-tank pipe behind the hospital building.

A phone bill was found from his pocket, which had a Nepal number. The police did not get any response on that number. According to the hospital authorities, they were yet to find out if the person who committed suicide was their patient.

Woman robbed of cash

NEW DELHINEW DELHINEW DELHINEW DELHINEW, MARCH 11.MARCH 11.MA A woman was allegedly robbed of Rs. 5,000 by an unidentified young man in a Blueline bus near Gole Market in New Delhi today. The suspect managed to escape.

According to the police, Asma, a resident of Masaram Park in West Delhi, had boarded a bus, plying on route No. 851, from Lady Hardinge Medical College in New Delhi around 6-30 p.m. When the bus reached near Gole Market, Asma raised an alarm as she realised that somebody had taken out Rs. 5,000 from her purse. Mandir Marg police are further investigating the incident.

Two escape

NEW DELHINEW DELHINEW DELHINEW DELHINEW, MARCH 11.MARCH 11.MA Two persons, who were arrested by the North-West Delhi police for allegedly being in possession of knives in two separate incidents on March 8, managed to escape from police custody. One of them was arrested later. Four policemen have been suspended in this connection.

According to the police, one Rai Singh was arrested by the Adarsh Nagar police three days ago. A knife was allegedly recovered from his possession. When two policemen were taking him to the police station, Rai requested them to allow him to relieve himself. When the policemen allowed him to do so, he managed to escape.

In another incident, an alleged bad character, Arjun, was arrested by Rohini police for allegedly possessing knife. Head Constable Srinivas and Constable Ram Kishan took him to hospital for medical examination from where he managed to escape.
