Annual convention

NEW DELHI, AUG. 21. The International Good Society of India today held its 15th annual convention in the Capital that was inaugurated by the Union Law Minister, H. R. Bhardwaj. At the day-long event, delegates discussed "The Role of Civil Society in Development through Empowerment of People".

Speaking at the convention, Mr. Bhardwaj focused on the pluralism and diversity of India. Noted legal expert Fali Nariman while dealing with law and jurisprudence referred to Mother Teresa's Nobel Prize acceptance speech and said that the poor and the deprived were in the forefront of furthering the cause of sharing and understanding in society.
