NEW DELHI: Television lovers can look forward to something entertaining this holiday-packed week. National Geographic Channel has come out with a special feature series from its library of films on and about penguins. Titled "Happy Feet Week", the series was premiered on Monday.

The Happy Feet Week will continue up to Friday. The series will feature films like "Emperor Penguins", "Game for It", "Fairy Penguins: The Secret of Sydney Harbour", "South Georgia Island: Paradise of Ice" and "Hot Science: Antarctica and Penguin Death Zone." The series has been launched as a result of a tie-up between National Geographic Channel and Warner Brothers Pictures. Speaking about the joint initiative, Rajesh Sheshadri of National Geographic Channel India said: "The series `Happy Feet' is all about breaking free from the crowd, recognising your uniqueness and making it your strength. Through the unique association with Warner Bros. we look forward to further increasing our reach and enhancing the connection with our audience."

About the tie-up, Sanjay Narayanan of Warner Bros. Pictures India Private Limited said: "National Geographic Channel, which is devoted to deepening and enriching India's understanding and appreciation of our natural world, is an ideal partner for us on `Happy Feet'."While "Emperor Penguins" and "Game for It" were telecast on Monday, "Fairy Penguins: The Secret of Sydney Harbour" will be shown on Tuesday. "South Georgia Island: Paradise of Ice" will be telecast on Wednesday while "Hot Science: Antarctica" will be shown on Thursday. The series will end on Friday with "Penguin Death Zone".
