Delhi Lieutenant-Governor Anil Baijal on Thursday met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, a day after Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had a meeting with Mr. Singh.

The Chief Minister had urged the Union Home Minister that the power to control services should be transferred to the Delhi Government from Centre.

An official in the Union Home Minister’s Office refused to divulge the agenda of Thursday’s meeting.

“Delhi L-G keeps meeting the Union Home Minister. They meet at least once a week,” the official said.

‘Legal experts’

A day before this, Mr. Singh had told Mr. Kejriwal that he would comment on the matter pertaining to services only after getting an opinion from “legal experts”.

After the meeting, the Chief Minister had claimed that Mr. Singh had said that “he will talk to his officers”.
