School girl’s death being probed

NEW DELHI: Devyani Narang, a Delhi schoolgirl who was found dead in Kanpur this past weekend, had recently lodged a complaint with her school authorities alleging that a school boy had been harassing her.

It is learnt that the school had summoned the boy’s parents and informed them about it. The Uttar Pradesh police have so far not found any evidence indicating foul play in the case. But they have sought her mobile phone records to find out whom she was in contact with when she went missing from a Lucknow school on Friday. Devyani had gone to Lucknow to attend a science conference there. The police found that after she went missing from the school, she went to Unnao from where she reached Kanpur.
