Missing girl found

NEW DELHI: A Class IX student who had gone missing from the residence of her local guardian here over the weekend has been found in Mumbai and brought back to the Capital.

The girl, whose parents live at Satna in Madhya Pradesh, is a student of a public school in South Delhi and is a hosteller. On Saturday night she went out of her guardian’s house in New Friends Colony for a walk and went missing.

On a complaint by her parents, the police registered a case and mounted a search for her. She was later found at the residence of one of her relatives in Mumbai. She was brought to Delhi and her statement recorded by a city court.

“It was an in-camera recording of the statement. We will take action as per the court’s direction,” said a police officer on Tuesday.
