NEW DELHI: Seven officers of the Directorate-General of Home Guards and Civil Defence have been awarded meritorious and distinguished service medals on the eve of Republic Day.

Chief Warden Subhash Gupta and Addl. Chief Warden A. K. Malik have been conferred the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service. Instructor Prabhat Chand Rana, Pipe Bandman Omkar, Deputy Chief Warden Bhupinder Singh, Deputy Divisional Warden Mohan Lal and Divisional Warden Gopi Chand Bharti have been awarded the Home Guards and Civil Defence Medals for Meritorious Service.
