NEW DELHI: Delhi University has approved of a special arrangement whereby candidates registered in the reserved category can be given admission in general category if they meet the requirements as per the cut-off list of different colleges.

“A section of students from reserved category has represented that students who have been registered in the reserved category but could not apply in the general category, should be considered as having applied in the latter also and accordingly be given admission if they are covered under the cut-off announced by colleges,” said an official release on Friday.

“This request has been considered and approved by the competent authority as a special arrangement to facilitate candidates from Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes categories,” it added.
