BSP leader quits party in Punjab

Jalandhar: The Bahujan Samaj Party received a major jolt as its State’s general secretary Raj Kumar Hans resigned from the party on Saturday. “State chief of BSP, Avtar Singh Karimpuri, who has recently been elected as Rajya Sabha MP from Uttar Pradesh, has virtually closed the party in the State, which could be evident from the data of last three election, during which vote bank of BSP witnessed steep fall” Mr. Hans told reporters. “It seems that Mayawati has given an award in the form of Rajya Sabha membership to Karimpuri for almost winding up of the party in the State”, he further alleged.
