Airport strike

NEW DELHI: The employees of the Air Corporation Employees’ Union and the Aviation Industry Employees’ Guild came together under the banner of the Civil Aviation Joint Action Front (CAJAF) to protest outside Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan here on Tuesday against the changes in the ground handling policy at the Indira Gandhi International Airport. The Front had sent a memorandum to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh this past week. “If we do not get any response from the Union Government, the Front will go on a strike on December 31 and on mass CL from January 9,” said V.J. Deka of the CAJAF.
