A 45-year-old man was crushed to death under a truck after he fell into a pothole on Haji Malang Road in Kalyan on Wednesday. This is the second accident this week on Haji Malang Road.
The deceased, identified as Anna, was walking towards a cowshed in Balgaon when he tripped and fell into the crater at Dwarli Naka. A truck coming from behind mowed him down. Hill Line police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to a hospital.
Senior Inspector G.H. Palange said the truck driver, identified as Nasim Mohammad Khan (45), has been arrested. The accused is a resident of Rabodi area in Thane.
