VS calls for speedy rehabilitation

The Administrative Reforms Commission (ARC) chairman, V.S. Achuthanandan, has called upon the government to take action on a war footing to rehabilitate the flood victims in Kuttanad and help farmers re-start farming activities. In a statement here, Mr. Achuthanandan, pointed out that the comprehensive compensation package being planned by the government was bound to take time and hence, emergency measures were needed in the interim to help people resume their activities.
