Functioning of village offices will become more transparent when 24 government services, including payment of tax, go online, Minister for Revenue E. Chandrasekharan has said.

He was inaugurating a smart village office building in Maranalloor panchayat on Tuesday. The Minister said preparing written certificates was difficult, but once villages offices became smart, these services would go online. The benefits of digital technology would be visible in village offices, he said. Not only should the offices become smart, the behaviour of employees with the public should also be excellent, he said.
