Vet. varsity to launch poultry science faculty

College to come up on Thiruvazhamkunnu campus in Palakkad

The Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU) is preparing to launch a poultry science faculty on its Thiruvazhamkunnu campus in Palakkad district.

The Management Council of the KVASU held here recently approved the proposal.

This was for the first time that a poultry science faculty was being formed in India, Vice Chancellor B. Ashok told The Hindu the faculty was being established with the mandate of facilitating academic, research, training, counselling and production of farm inputs, empowering human resources, ensuring diversified poultry and promoting poultry business entrepreneurship.
