Treatment for Giant cell tumour

THRISSUR, AUG. 21. The renowned orthopaedic surgeon and the outgoing chairman of the Orthopaedic Association of South India, Santharam Shetty, today said that it was possible to treat the Giant cell tumour disease without amputating the leg or arm affected by it.

Making a presentation at the ongoing conference of the association here, Dr. Shetty said it was possible to cure them by curetting (scraping off the affected bone portions with curette) and bone grafting.
