Traders' plea to reverse traffic arrangements

PATHANAMTHITTA, FEB. 26. The Kerala Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samithi (KVVES) municipal unit here has urged the district administration to review the new traffic arrangements in town as it reportedly caused much inconvenience to the traders and the common people.

Addressing a press conference here today, the KVVES municipal leaders, K.I.Idicula and M.S.Abdul Salam, alleged that the new traffic arrangements, regulating vehicular traffic on the College road, Civil Station Road and Police Station Road, had badly affected the functioning of various shops in town.

They demanded that the district authorities take immediate steps to reverse the traffic system so as to rejuvenate the commercial activities in the town.

The KVVES leaders also demanded a ban on unauthorised vehicle parking in front of shops and the wayside eateries within town limits.
