PATHANAMTHITTA: Travancore Devaswom Board president G. Raman Nair has said that the Board will set up a super-speciality hospital between Vadasserikkara and Perinad, en route Pampa, on the Mannarakulanji-Pampa main trunk road to Sabarimala.

Talking to presspersons here on Saturday, Mr. Raman Nair said the 200-bed hospital would cater to the medical needs of Sabarimala pilgrims as well as the general public.

He said the TDB would start a nursing school attached to the super-speciality hospital.

The proposed TDB hospital would open satellite medical units at Pampa and the Sannidhanam during the annual Mandalam-Makaravilakku season and other festivals.

The TDB chief said the local people who did not have any advanced medical-care facility would also be benefited by the TDB project.
