Taluk offices computerisation by March 31

PALAKKAD: District Collector K. Ajayakumar has said that the second phase of the computerisation of the district administration under the Modernisation in Government Programme (MGP) will be implemented by computerising all the taluk offices by March 31.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Mr. Ajayakumar said the Citizen Service from the Collectorate Modernisation and Computer Project will start from December first week. Initially, the services will be offered through the information touch screen kiosk at the enquiry counter of the Collectorate.

The services offered will include status of file in Collectorate in specific areas such as revenue recovery, pension, natural calamity, finance and public grievance.

The list of services offered from the Collectorate, eligibility for getting service and other related details, will also be made available, he said.

Single window

Mr. Ajayakumar said the kiosk would also be a single window for public to access information provided by the Government through websites of various departments.

It will help public access various information like examination result, railway information, Government Order search, Telecom Services and information on districts of Kerala, he added.
