Security tightened

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, NOV. 29. The police have stepped up security in the vicinity of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) and CPI(M) offices in the city in the wake of the DYFI-IUML clash in Kannur. Last month, a group of persons suspected to be CPI(M) supporters had ransacked the the IUML office in Nanthancode after the Leader of the Opposition, V.S. Achuthanandan, had been gheroed by Muslim Students Federation (MSF) activists in Malappuram district.
