Qatar Airways plans two daily flights from Kochi

NEDUMBASSERY, OCT. 7. Making use of the open-sky policy announced by the Central Government, Qatar Airways will be increasing its number of services from Cochin International Airport from next month.

The increase in services will come into effect from November 1. Qatar Airways now operates three services from Kochi to Doha in a week, on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. This will be increased to two services a day, one in the morning and the other in the evening.

The morning service is scheduled at 9.30 a.m. This will be operated using Airbus 321, which has a capacity of 177 passengers.

Two schedules have been fixed for the evening services, which will be operated using Airbus 330 having a capacity to accommodate 238 passengers. On Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays the flight will leave Nedumbassery at 6.30 p.m. On other days it is scheduled for 5.30 p.m.
