Project to develop roads in city soon

KOCHI, MARCH 11. A project will soon be given shape to for developing roads in Kochi city and its suburbs.

The State Government is coming up with this plan in expectation that the city will witness unforeseen development once the Vallarpadam container transhipment terminal and other projects kick off. A meeting was held today in Thiruvananthapuram in this regard. The Minister for Public Works, M. K. Muneer, and the Minister for Fisheries, Dominic Presentation, were present at the meeting. The development works will include flyovers and new four-lane roads. A meeting will be held in Kochi in the first week of April under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy. Experts in the field of transportation are expected to participate in the meeting.
