One more diagnosed with cholera

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM OCT. 31. A 45-year-old woman from Poonthura was diagnosed with cholera even as hospital admissions of diarrhoeal cases registered a slight decrease at various hospitals in the district.

The patient has been admitted to the special cell at the General Hospital.

So far, 19 cases have tested positive for cholera in the outbreak of epidemic in the coastal belt.

While there were 25 new admissions of diarrheoal disorders on Thursday, the total IP population undergoing anti-diarrheoal treatment is 101. Meanwhile, 72 patients were provided out-patient treatment for diarrheoal symptoms.
